Teresa Stohs Earns Certified Fund Raising Executive Credential
Teresa Stohs, Director of Grant Services for Soukup Strategic Solutions, has been recognized as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) by CFRE International. The CFRE credential is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and recognizes individuals with an extensive amount of knowledge, experience, and expertise in fundraising. Stohs joins over 7,400 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation.
The credentialing organization, CFRE International, sets standards in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process for fundraising professionals. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, and demonstrated fundraising achievement for nonprofit organizations. They have also passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.

Stohs has over 30 years’ experience in nonprofit fundraising and executive leadership. Her fundraising expertise includes grants, special events, major gifts, and annual fund development. Stohs currently serves as Director of Grant Services for Soukup Strategic Solutions. She utilizes her fundraising expertise daily in helping nonprofits maximize grant funding opportunities. Stohs previously served the Southwest Florida community as the Foundation Relations Specialist for the Avow Foundation, Major Gifts Officer for the Children’s Museum of Naples (C’mon), and Executive Director of the Foundation for the Developmentally Disabled (now STARability Foundation).
Soukup Strategic Solutions now has three Certified Fund Raising Executives on its team, including President Sheryl Soukup and Senior Consultant Lou Traina.
