Our Daily Bread Food Pantry exists to share the love of God by reducing hunger and building relationships in the community. Their goal is to offer nourishing food choices, encouragement, and hope to food insecure individuals and families in Collier County. The overall benefit is food security for people living in poverty who have endured a pandemic, hurricanes and inflation enabling them to recover/rebound and avoid the effects of poverty: malnutrition, illness, weak families, lack of education and more.
Their food is distributed in Collier County 6 days a week in the following ways:
- A Campus Food Pantry on Marco Island, FL that is open to residents of Collier County
- Mobile Pantries in 10 different locations
- School Programs that provide students breakfast food and food backpacks for the weekends and three summer camps during the summer
- Disaster Response
- Care and Shareprovides senior clients with a nutritionally balanced box of canned fruits and vegetables, grains, protein, other nonperishable food, and additional items.
- Lunch with Friends meets monthly for senior clients to enjoy time of education, encouragement and fellowship over lunch.
Our Daily Bread Food Pantry is forecasted to serve over two hundred thousand clients with two million pounds of food in 2023 with the help of its dedicated workforce of over 200 volunteers.
