Lesa is a Grant Writer at Soukup Strategic Solutions, bringing more than 30 years of nonprofit development experience to the team. She began her career in 1993 with the American Cancer Society and spent 27 years in roles spanning development, fundraising, special events, grants, stewardship, prospect research, and marketing. She concluded her tenure as the Director of Stewardship and Constituent Cultivation at the organization’s global headquarters in Atlanta, GA, where she helped shape donor engagement strategies nationwide.
Since 2020, Lesa has consulted with organizations such as The HALO Trust, Arlington Charities food bank, and Boys & Girls Clubs. She brings deep experience across health, humanitarian aid, food security, and youth development, specializing in grant strategy, compelling narrative development, and aligning programs with funder priorities. Her work is driven by a belief in the power of nonprofits to change lives—one person at a time.
Outside of work, Lesa enjoys genealogy, painting, gardening, and world travel. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her two cats, Popeye and Sweet Pea, and cherishes time with her children and five grandchildren.
