Lisa Cohen is a media relations and crisis communications consultant for Soukup Strategic Solutions. She is an award-winning journalist, storyteller, and documentary filmmaker with 25 years as a newsroom leader, before pivoting to her second career as a media strategist.

Lisa’s superpower is impact journalism, sharing stories that make a difference in the world. At CNN she planned and executed the launch of the CNN Freedom Project, a multi-platform initiative created to expose the horrors of human trafficking. Lisa executive produced countless stories for The CNN Freedom Project during its 13-year run, including the award-winning documentary “Every Day in Cambodia,” which features Mira Sorvino.

Currently, Lisa serves as a media consultant on the board of directors for 3Strands Global Foundation, an anti-human trafficking nonprofit that mobilizes communities through prevention, education, and reintegration programs.

Lisa lives in Atlanta with her husband Michael and enjoys spending time with their two young adult sons and loveable Havanese pooch named Ozzie.
