Friendship House has been on an incredible journey since its launch three years ago. It all started with a desire to bring together community members and youth with special needs. Through its programming, Friendship House aims to promote an inclusive community that values all individuals, regardless of the challenges they face. It offers support to individuals with special needs and their families providing recreational, social, and educational programming. It also impacts the lives of its high school and community volunteers enabling them to reap the rewards of selfless giving.
Its vision is a community where people with special needs are included in every aspect of the Boca Raton life and are provided with the support and opportunities to be successful and live happy productive lives. The Boca Raton community is enriched by its mission in so many dimensions!
Friendship House held its first fundraiser, Walk4Friendship, earlier this year exceeding its goal of $72K. These funds are crucial to serving more than 65 families and impacting the lives of more than 75 volunteers this year.
