The Immokalee foundation has been empowering children and young adults to change the course of their lives since 1991. Their students come from situations where English may not be their first language, where just getting through high school is considered a high achievement, and where a college degree and career are mere dreams. The Immokalee Foundation is in service of making those dreams come true.
The Immokalee Foundation provides educational, professional, and career-building opportunities that open the students’ eyes to their full potential, along with the understanding that what they once considered impossible just might be possible after all. With the support of the Foundation’s staff, mentors, partners, volunteers, and donors, these extraordinary students grow to become young women and men who learn that through education and determination, they can transform their dreams into a better life for themselves and their families.
In January, The Immokalee Foundation came together as a family to celebrate 31 years of serving the children of Immokalee at this year’s Charity Classic – The Dream Gala. The event honored their students — from elementary through postsecondary education — who are forging pathways to success and building a legacy that the next generation can follow.
During this evening of light, laughter, and love — The Immokalee Foundation was able to raise over $1.8 million to help make dreams come true and support the educational needs of over 1,300+ students in Immokalee.
